Freeway Shower Chair Range

High quality, durable and adaptable the Freeway range of shower/commode chairs offers a wealth of choice from standard models to custom-build chairs. The modular design and choice of options and accessories ensure that the standard models offer solutions to a wide range of needs.

All Freeway chairs are treated with ‘Freecote’ a unique coating process which is Anti-bacterial and anti-microbial - effective in the fight against MRSA and other hospital acquired infections.

Features:

• The substantial steel frame is constructed from strong tubing to produce a heavy-duty, durable chair capable of carrying up to 200 kgs (30 stone).
• All models are available with either horizontal push handles or vertical handles (for use in restricted areas or over WCs). The hygienic and pliable backrest moulds to the user while providing excellent support.
• Armrests have generous soft, yet supportive tops and detach or swing away for easy access and transfer, with armrests locks fitted as standard.
• Comfortable padded seats in a choice of Fully padded, Horse shoe or Full ring seats with different sized apertures, are interchangeable. Also longer seats options for more support.
• Chair models available in 3 seat widths 540mm(21”), 490mm(19”) and 440mm(17”).
• The frame is coated in a highly durable attractive white nylon waterproof finish which is attractive and anti-bacterial.
• Self-propelled models have high performance large wheel with puncture proof tyres and brakes fitted as standard.
• Highest quality large diameter plastic castors with stainless steel bearings.
• Footrests flip up and are height adjustable and can be easily removed or swung conveniently away from the user’s foot area.
• Seat and backrest covered in hard-wearing, flame retardant material, which is hygienic and easily wiped clean.

Freeway T40

The attendant propel model, four total stop castors and footrests as standard. Models available for use with automatic bidets.

Freeway T50

Designed for use in restricted areas, the T50 has front-mounted 520mm self propel wheels with brakes.
This model is suitable for double amputees without special adaptation.

Freeway T60

510mm (20”) rear wheel self-propelled model. Low braked wheel facilitates side transfer and shorter overall length means this chair will fit in a smaller area. Anti tip bars are fitted as standard.

560mm (20”) rear wheel self propelled model has push rims and footrests. The large braked rear wheels make this chair easy to self propel. Models available for use with automatic bidets.
